Who we are:

We are a dedicated hardworking team of third-cultured individuals with tremendous experience in the African holiday market. Growing up in the third-word has given most of our members a profound perspective on the healthy travel encounters individuals experience during new cultural interactions.

Our group of travel experts have a great mastery in wildlife safaris, cultural tourism, and mountain trekking excursions.

XPATS INTERNATIONAL is a travel guide platform servicing tourists visiting and expats living in Tanzania. XPATS LLC works alongside the Tanzania Tourist Board in order to transcend customer experience and improve customer satisfaction among travelers during their Tanzania holidays.

We strive bring special handcrafted experiences and aim to become a disruptive force in the service market.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it:

Personal data includes your personal details (e.g. name, address, contact details, nationality). In addition, this may include order / booking data (e.g. payment orders), data from the fulfillment of our contractual obligation (e.g. insurance details), advertising and documentation data (e.g. browser records), register data, image and sound data (e.g. telephone recordings), information from your electronic communication with us (e.g. cookies) as well as data for compliance with legal requirements.

Please take note that your user name, e-mail address, or other submissions that you make on this site may contain your real name or other personally identifiable information and, as a result, may appear on this site. Like many platforms, we may also automatically receive general information that is contained in our server log files such as your IP address and cookie information. Information about how advertising may be served on this site (if at all) is set forth below. XPATS LLC uses a 3rd party payment gateway called PayPal & Stripe to ensure your personal and sensitive credit card information is securely stored. Your credit card details are NOT stored on XPATS LLC, instead your information is securely stored and encrypted with PayPal & Stripe. PayPal & Stripe are fully PCI-DSS compliant and to transfer information between XPATS LLC and PayPal & Stripe we use a 256bit SSL certificate from Amazon. In layman terms this means when you save or update your credit card details on XPATS LLC, these details are being securely stored within PayPal & Stripe’s fully secure vaults to ensure your information cannot be used by malicious 3rd parties.

XPATS LLC and its employees are unable to view your cardholder information as PayPal & Stripe truncate your credit card details. You may add, update or delete your credit card information whenever you choose.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

 How long we retain your data:

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data:

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

 Where we send your data:

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. We provide you with the ability to edit the information in your account by signing into your Account. You may request deletion of your user account by contacting us. Content or other data that you may have provided to us and that is not contained within your user account, such as posts that may appear within our forums, may continue to remain on our site at our discretion even though your user account is deleted.

Your contact information:

We will transfer your data to the tour operator who will carry out the tour you booked. We strive to only share email addresses in hashed form to enable the matching of your email address with an existing customer database so that your email address cannot be used for other purposes.
