“I have completed Lemosho 8 days route in a team of 4. Everything went well, the guides (Oscar and Lagos) were very experienced and gave me confidence at every point of the route. Every single question was answered, every doubt was addressed and explained.
Our health condition was under their attention, at any point of time we’ve got an advice how to handle any discomfort or little sickness… Food was sufficient, camp equipment was in order, tents were always ready upon our arrival to the camp. Porters were just doing their hard job, ready to help with any small issue, well, that concerns the whole team though, including John, the organiser. John was available at any moment before the trip, during and after, for any question and ready to find a solution when required. He kept my family informed as of hike progressed while I had no connection on the mountain.

“The trip with XPATS was from the very first point of contact with John to the time I’ve got back home very well planned and organized! I got the contact information through a common friend and John was willing to help out at every step during the vacation as well as beforehand for planning – he even supported me during the visa process. I’ve done the Kilimanjaro hike as well as a safari (Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire – really recommend doing it!!) and everything worked out well. Since I had some days left before my flight home John even supported me with trips in the Arusha area like a visit to a local Masai village or several museums. Airport pickup and drop-off worked also very well… Overall I really enjoyed working with John and would do it 100% again with XPATS!”

“John does a great job with xpats international! When we got there, he picked us up from the airport and took us to the hotel. I wasn’t feeling good, and he organized a Covid test. Unfortunately, the test was positive, which is why I decided not to climb Kilimanjaro yet. However, as soon as I told John, he reorganized with the porters and managed to come up with great alternative activities. He showed me the authentic Tanzanian way of living, and the countryside and brought me to many wondrous sights in and around Arusha (hot springs, waterfalls, Arusha national park, the tanzanite museum, Natural art gallery, a coffee farm where we made our own coffee, and an orphanage). So even though I did not climb Kilimanjaro, I had a great experience in Tanzania thanks to John and found a great friend!
So even if things go south in Tanzania, you can be sure to have someone around that keeps you great company and makes the best out of your trip! Hanging out with him, I also recognized how much he cared about the hikers and how happy he was when they succeeded.”

Want to say massive thanks to John at Xpats international great company he called me one night as agreed and explained how everything goes was on phone for 45 minutes had lots of my questions answered, made me feel safe and confident going ahead with doing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Oscar was my guider he really is a expert at his job and a nice man with lots of knowledge learned me a lot about Kilimanjaro. Checked my oxygen level and heart beat every day and kept track wrote down scale of how I felt If had bad stomach, headache or Nausea etc, made shure it was safe for me to carry on… Can’t Thank the team enough couldn’t have done it without them absolutely brilliant. If anyone thinking of doing Mount kilimanjaro or Safari I’d highly recommend Xpats International what a amazing life time experience I’ll never forget. Jambo jambo!! Hakuna matata!!”

“I can’t say enough about how amazing my Kilimanjaro summit was thanks to XPATS International! First, the incredible assistance from John in preparation and planning. Not only did he spend a half hour on the phone with me helping me decide which route would be best, but he followed up with emails and messages to make sure I had everything I needed. Highlight – se sent menus and recipes of the foods I’d be eating so I knew what to expect. The guides and porters were top notch! As a solo female hiker, I was definitely apprehensive. But they took such great care of me! They kept me entertained, made me feel safe and protected, and didn’t get frustrated when I asked them for the millionth time how to say the same words in Swahili! Camp was always comfortable and the food was amazing! I celebrated my birthday on summit day and the whole team made it special. First, with muffins, candles and singing at wake up, a toast at summit, and a birthday cake back at the gate.”

“I had an amazing experience climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in June 2022 with Xpats International on the Lemosho 8 day route. We were looked after phenomenally by the crew on the trek and also from John at Xpats on the ground. John spent a lot of time communicating with us prior to the trip to make sure we had the correct kit/information we needed for a successful summit. The experience was enhanced by the friendliness of the crew, amazing porter services and excellent food and water supplies to keep us going. There was never a dull moment as we were singing and chanting and dancing with our guides and porters along the trek. Our medical stats were monitored closely and we all felt very looked after by the guides. It was a challenge but I definitely could not have done it without the support of the crew and John.”

“We have just finished the 8 day Lemosho route with XPATS. The guides and porters were amazing, spirits were high every single day! We were fed extremely well the whole trip, and it was delicious. Every morning we were greeting with tea & coffee, when we arrived at camp popcorn, and a meal would be waiting for us!

The guides were very knowledgable and safety aware. We learnt lots about plants, Swahili, culture, and overall had an amazing time with them! They kept us singing, chanting and dancing the whole way to the top! We all summited successfully also!

John was super helpful throughout the trip, and before it – answering any questions we had no matter the time of day! He helped us get the best prices for things, arranged a safari for us in Arusha National Park and showed us the best of Arusha food/culture! Would definitely recommend using XPATS!”

“First of all I would like to say thank you to John and his team for this great trip. First we successfully climbed up the uhuru peak via the lemosho route and then we decided to go a three day safari trip (tarangire and manyara national park and nogorongo crater). What I appreciated the most was that John was available all the time before and during our vacation. He gave us helpful tips as well as supporting us with administrative things like visa, other activities, health care… that went far beyond his actual job.
Also as I had no connection to reach out to my family during the hike, John tried to reach our guides as often as possible to give my sister at home a live sign from us . I felt safe with him at all times and that is for me one of the most important things. It was definitely a service that went far beyond what was expected…”

“In the preparation John did an excellent job advising me on which route to take, what to bring and how to prepare physically and mentally. I really appreciated the communication, because he always answered any questions I had right away. He was also the one advising me to go for Machame instead of Marangu route. After summiting I am very happy that I went for Machame. I honestly don‘t know whether I would have summitted on Marangu as the acclimatization landscapes are a lot worse. Additionally, John did an amazing job making sure that I am comfortable and taken care of. He picked me up at and brought me to the airport, organized hotel rooms for before and after the climb and even helped me buy a Tanzanian SIM card for my stay afterwards.”
