  • More than 1.5 million wildebeest migrate in an enormous loop every year
  • Because so many animals rely on wildebeest and zebra for food, the Migration attracts many other species while moving through the landscape, making for unique sightings of diverse species
  • The Ngorongoro crater is also the world’s largest inactive caldera. The crater floor covers about 260 square kilometers wide and about 600 meters deep
  • The Big Five in the Serengeti

5 Day Tanzania Safari Itinerary

All travelers will have to arrange their own flights to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and apply for their own visas through the online immigration portal. Visa guidelines are also available on the official immigration website.

Note, if you’re arriving from a country subject to yellow fever, you will be required to show proof of vaccination. A 72-hour PCR test is required for entry.

A transfer will be arranged to drop off you and your luggage at the hotel to unwind from your travels. Briefing will take place in the evening or early morning.

Early in the morning, you’ll be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Manyara National Park. Once there, you’ll enjoy a full-day game drive with a lovely picnic in the afternoon.
The park is known to host thousands of flamingos during the dry seasons and are occasionally seen during the morning. You’ll be able to witness a diverse range of vegetation and a variety of wildlife habitats. The big 5 can be occasionally spotted here.
Once the day’s spent, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation in order to eat and retire for day.

After a filling breakfast, you’ll continue your game at Tarangire National park.
The park is often coined as the “home-place of elephants” due to its large elephant population. Here, you’ll also see huge boabab trees, tree climbing pythons, giraffes, dik-diks, bushbucks, waterbucks and many more animals. Don’t be surprised to see big cats lurking around as they’re occasionally spotted during transits to Serengeti National Park.
After your game drive you’ll be transferred to your accommodation for dinner and a full night’s rest.

Once at the Serengeti National Park, you’ll see the great migration, the Big Five and array of antelopes.
Here, you’ll have a full game drive and a picnic lunch in the afternoon before retiring at your accommodation for a nice hot meal and a warm summer bed.

The game drive will continue at the Serengeti National Park after breakfast packed with lunch boxes. The tour will make its way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an overnight stay.
This is so we can beat the sunrise as we descend down to the crater in the morning.

Early in the morning, we’ll descend down to the crater and continue our game drive before making our way back to Arusha.

If you have booked a Zanzibar Beach Holiday package with us, you’ll  be transferred to the next chapter of your journey. If you have not booked an additional trip with XPATS International, you’ll be transferred to the airport.

This operation was truly remarkable from beginning to end. Hamisi took extra care to help me with booking the safari across the world. Time difference didn’t keep him from great response time. He gave great suggestions for the stay in town and helped my boyfriend who was traveling alone with transportation to and from airports. All in all, we can’t wait to go back together. They will be our number one choice for all of our tours in the area.

Thank you to Hamisi and team for an excellent experience.

The safari through Tarangire and Ngorongoro was just awesome! Our guide Hamisi did a perfect job sharing his experience and knowledge about the area and the animals. And hell: this guy knows how to drive a jeep!
As a group of friends travelling through Tanzania, we had a great time with great food. And Hamisi ensures not only good pictures, but (good) jokes aswell 🙂

It was an amazing time with the lovely and super friendly hamisi and joachim! I could absolutely recommend to travel with this company. Both guides are extremely experienced and have great english knowledge. They can also explain almost everything about serengeti, ngorongoro and many more. Their safari cars have great comfort and are fully equipped so that you can travel fine and fully enjoy the beautiful nature of this wonderful country. Furthermore the camping sides are in good shape and the meals from their “chef” are delicious. All in all we had a great time and an impressive journey with those wonderful people and would always go again on a safari trip with these guys.

Unforgettable. From the safety of a land rover, we were up close and personal with more wildlife than we have seen in all our time in the backcountry in Colorado, Australia and New Zealand. We watched a 3 lioness kill of 3 wildebeests unfold before our eyes. Better than National Geographic. We heard the thud, watched the wildebeest go down and saw the 11 cubs come in for the breakfast feast. Hamisi and Joachim are exceptionally talented guides. Their breadth of knowledge finds MANY animals for you to see, closer than you can imagine. Then fills in the story with encyclopedic knowledge about social behavior, defenses both biologic and strategic, patterns of raising young, ETC. We told our world adventuring friends about our time and they said, “That sounds perfect for us.” Yes, seven days of pretty close to perfect for us. We can’t wait to go back.

Happy Travels everyone. If your a traveler and not a tourist, detest tour buses and following the pack this is your place . I went for 3 days with my guide and friend through the Serengeti, Tanzania 🇹🇿 This is the only way to see the Serengeti. If you go with a large group it just takes the true soul of a safari away . It’s rush hour out there , this tour company doesn’t follow the pack . You and your Guide alone on the Serengeti ! This is my religion. Arusha, good people and the music 🎶 spend time here . 🙏🇹🇿❤️
